When managing a busy operation, every click matters. Controllers need to react quickly to new bookings, cancellations and changing vehicle availability without constantly moving between different screens.

The Butterfly release introduces Manual Trip Creation from the Planning Screens, allowing complete trips to be created directly from the Awaiting Allocation screens while maintaining full visibility of the operation.

Create shared ride trips directly from Echo's Planning Screens, giving dispatchers faster workflows, improved visibility and greater control over bookings and vehicle allocation.

The new functionality allows controllers to:

  • Create new trips directly from the Planning Screens
  • Combine selected bookings into a single trip
  • View vehicle availability and existing work while planning
  • Reduce the number of steps required to build and manage trips

Keeping trip creation within the Planning Screens allows dispatchers to remain focused on the live operation, making it easier to respond quickly while maintaining greater situational awareness.

This enhancement is particularly valuable for organisations managing Patient Transport Services, NEMT operations, shared rides and high-volume dispatch environments where controllers need to make rapid planning decisions throughout the day.

By reducing screen changes and simplifying trip creation, Manual Trip Creation from the Planning Screens helps improve controller productivity while making everyday planning faster and more intuitive.
