Not every driver starts each shift from the same location. A driver may begin their first shift from a depot, return home during the day, and then start their second shift from a completely different address.



The Pleiades release introduces Flexible Shift Starting Addresses for Split Shifts, allowing operators and drivers to define different starting locations for each shift, giving Echo a more accurate picture of real-world operations.

Configure different starting addresses for split shifts, helping improve scheduling accuracy, reduce empty mileage and optimise vehicle utilisation.

The new functionality allows you to:


  • Configure different starting addresses for each shift
  • Support depot, home or custom starting locations
  • Allow authorised drivers to update starting locations through the Driver App
  • Improve scheduling using more accurate driver location data



By knowing exactly where each shift begins, Echo can make better routing, scheduling and allocation decisions while helping reduce unnecessary empty mileage.



This enhancement is particularly valuable for employee transport, Patient Transport Services, airport transfers and other operations where drivers regularly work split shifts or start from different locations throughout the day.
